Official Business Information

Registered business name: Desktop Cedarfield Co., Ltd.

Established: 2019

Registered office: Office 8, 34 Example-ro, Suseong-gu, Daegu 00000, South Korea

Our Origin

Desktop Cedarfield began when our founder, after years of holding Bitcoin in cold storage, spent an entire weekend reconciling wallet addresses before a tax consultation. The accountant asked simple questions — how many wallets, where are the backups, what devices hold what — and the answers were scattered across notebooks, encrypted files, and memory.

That experience revealed a gap: holders who take security seriously often lack the documentation discipline that a proper annual review demands. We built a practice around closing that gap.

What We Do

We prepare annual audits for offline cryptocurrency wallets. Our work is hands-on and human-delivered: sitting with holders, reviewing hardware devices, cataloguing seed phrase backups, and producing written reserve summaries that survive scrutiny from accountants, family members, or the holder’s own future self.

We do not manage wallets, execute transactions, or provide investment guidance. Our sole focus is documentation and audit readiness for cold storage reserves.

Our Team

Jae-hoon Park — Founder and Senior Audit Preparer. Former corporate accountant with personal cold storage experience since 2015. Leads all annual audit sessions.

Eun-ji Choi — Audit Preparer. Specialises in seed phrase inventory reviews and hardware device health checks. Joined in 2021.

So-young Han — Client Coordinator. Manages scheduling, intake forms, and post-session follow-up correspondence.

Working Approach

We believe audit preparation should be methodical, not rushed. Every session follows a documented checklist developed from over 200 completed audits. We never ask for private keys, seed phrases, or passphrase words during a session — verification happens through address display and on-chain balance confirmation only.

Our Daegu office is designed for privacy: no recording devices, sound-insulated consultation room, and secure document handling procedures.

Values

  • Accuracy over speed — a four-hour audit is four hours because thoroughness matters
  • Holder sovereignty — your keys remain yours; we document, never control
  • Plain language — reserve summaries readable by accountants and family members alike
  • Local presence — based in Daegu, serving holders across South Korea in person and via video

Community

We contribute field notes to our journal on topics relevant to Korean cold storage holders: metal backup suppliers available domestically, firmware update schedules, and seasonal audit timing considerations for year-end tax preparation.
